Field Arborist Technician (Contract/Full-Time)
Austin Metro Area, Texas
$20 – $32+/hour depending on experience and qualifications
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in a contract position for the role of Field Arborist Technician. The role includes opportunities for growth, especially for contract positions that may evolve into full-time roles. As a Field Arborist Technician, you will assist with various arboriculture services, including conducting tree inventories, assessing tree risks, monitoring construction sites, and providing input for tree preservation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with tree inventories and tree risk assessments
- Monitor construction sites for tree protection and preservation
- Participate in tree preservation management strategies
- Contribute to report writing and documentation
- Collaborate to deliver high-quality arboricultural services and solutions
Qualifications:
- Preference for Certified Arborists and TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification)
- Proficiency in regional tree identification for South Central Texas
- Strong communication skills, both personal and written
- Experience in tree inventory, risk assessments, and preservation management is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in an outdoor environment with potential inclement weather and steep terrain
- Ability to legally work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites within region
