Field Arborist Technician (Contract/Full-Time)

Austin Metro Area, Texas

$20 – $32+/hour depending on experience and qualifications

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in a contract position for the role of Field Arborist Technician. The role includes opportunities for growth, especially for contract positions that may evolve into full-time roles. As a Field Arborist Technician, you will assist with various arboriculture services, including conducting tree inventories, assessing tree risks, monitoring construction sites, and providing input for tree preservation.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with tree inventories and tree risk assessments
  • Monitor construction sites for tree protection and preservation
  • Participate in tree preservation management strategies
  • Contribute to report writing and documentation
  • Collaborate to deliver high-quality arboricultural services and solutions

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Preference for Certified Arborists and TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification)
  • Proficiency in regional tree identification for South Central Texas
  • Strong communication skills, both personal and written
  • Experience in tree inventory, risk assessments, and preservation management is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in an outdoor environment with potential inclement weather and steep terrain
  • Ability to legally work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites within region
